At thirty-three years old she was tempted to allow her journey as a woman battling insecurities, personal teenage critcizing , low self-esteem, toxic relationships, and depression to define the rest of her life. It wasn't until she was in her darkest moment that she realized she only had two options: settle or evolve. Carla dared to harness the wisdom of her past wounds and apply them to the hope for her future.
The process of transforming from the bold yet fearful young girl that she was into the powerhouse sister, friend, businesswoman, and leader that she is took dedication, discipline, resources, and spiritual growth. Her passion is to utilize her experiences, insight, and influence to help every soul she encounters to evolve into the best version of themselves.
In 2018, Carla began the idea of Sista Squad and will be launching officially Fall 2020 Sista Squad a ministry that focuses on incubating every woman to her fullness. Since its conception Sister Squad has been successful in the background at reaching and guiding many women to awaken healing, wholeness, and love for themselves and others. A naturally gifted scholar, Carla graduated high school in the top ten percent of her class and in the nation at the age of seventeen and attended Florida A and M University, Broward College, FIU and Nova Southeastern University, where she studied Business Management, served in The United States Army/Reserve, Currently working in Law-Enforcement 16 years as a 911-dispatcher with the Broward County Sheriff's Office.
Of all her accomplishments Carla is most proud of the life she has built together with her late grandmother and uncle showimg her true full entrepenuership and true love. With their love in her memory she has become Perfectly Imperfect and able to love as Christ loved the world.
